AFCEA STEM Major Scholarships for Undergraduate Students

For the 2019-2020 Academic Year, applicants will be considered for all AFCEA STEM Major scholarship opportunities for which they are qualified.  Applications will be accepted from current eligible undergraduate level students majoring in STEM fields that meet the mission of AFCEA (listed below), to include Cyber Security, Intelligence and Homeland Security-related disciplines

Undergraduate candidates must be at least second-year college students enrolled as sophomores or juniors full-time in a four-year college or university at the time of application.

You are NOT eligible to apply:
1.  If attending a Community College and planning to attend a four year university
2.  If attending a two year college
3.  If you are a freshman or a senior in a four year university
4.  If you are a high school senior
5.  Expected graduation/completion date cannot be in the year the scholarship is awarded

Online programs are eligible. A current overall GPA of 3.0 or higher in their current program at an accredited U.S. college or university required at the time of application.

Liberty Power Bright Horizons Scholarship

Eligibility requirements:

  • Students who are currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year public or private university in the United States
  • Students who have completed at least one full semester of college
  • Students who are pursuing a degree related to science, technology, mathematics, or engineering. We are looking for students who have an interest in energy and the environment
  • Students must be 18 years old by October 1, 2018
  • Students must be able to prove they are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Masergy STEM Scholarship

Any student planning to attend or are currently attending a four-year accredited university in the United States with a major in a STEM field may apply. Masergy will grant a $5,000 scholarship to an undergraduate or graduate student to be used toward their degree.

  • The submission deadline is August 17, 2018
  • The winner will be contacted September 3, 2018

Women in Defense HORIZONS

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria. No exceptions will be considered.

  1. Be a female currently enrolled at an accredited university or college, either full-time or part- time.
  2. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible; undergraduates must have attained at least junior level status (60 credits).
  3. Demonstrate interest in pursuing a career related to national security or defense.
  4. Demonstrate financial need.
  5. Have a minimum grade point average of 3.25.
  6. Be a citizen of the United States.
